Fresh Fall Furries

Getting a bit of sketching done outside (admittedly, these cute faces are distracting me big time!)...

 

 

The squirrel is stealing toilet paper from inside the house, that's keeping me well entertained as well!

Zoey

My parents got a new little puppy, she's already healing their sore hearts & I am obsessed with her!

 

They've named her Zoey & she's the sweetest little bundle of furry sunshine, oh my gawd LOVE her!

Big, Beautiful & Cautious

I was hoping to show you a new illustration today but my head is just too sore to get it scanned etc...

So instead, here's something just as nice...shots of Elsie and Henrie Biggens out in the sun & yard.

 

 

 These 2 are creatures of habit, especially Elsie and it takes them 3 to 5 hours before they really start to enjoy themselves & the yard space which is usually just about when they need to go in!  Oh well!

Bittersweet Beauty

Things aren't over quite yet but we've actually had to turn our heat on already!
so I am naturally thinking back on the season as I do every year about this time.
Summer started off slowly with my injured knee early on in the season
& we resisted the yard for a tiny bit cause we just didn't want to be there without our Frenwyck...
but my oh my it's been such a good and wonderful Spring, summer and Fall...

 

I am looking forward to winter and diving into my studio time a lot more,

there's always way less distractions in the winter hibernation time!...

But I admit I am feeling slightly melancholy about wrapping another season up!

I don't know if Jaks will be with us next summer...I think that's making it all more bittersweet...

but we sure did enjoy our time outside this year and we took full advantage of it all

and that's what is most important at the end of it all isn't it!

Sew Nice

I am so not a sewer...

small thing by hand okay fine but me & sewing machines don't seem to get along for the most part!

I've sewn many curtains for our cozy little abode but that's about all...

 

 

So I kept putting off this outdoor pillow projects

but I shouldn't have because they turned out really nicely I think.

I used the innards from old pillows, got outdoor material on sale & voila seven new pagoda pillows.

23rd

I believe in love at first sight because I experienced it myself first hand 23 years ago.
23 years ago we met in a strawberry field...
but we mark our anniversary as the day we went on our very first date, a hike in the forest.
23 years ago we started leaning towards & into one another...it was instant...it was kismet...

23 years later we're still growing together...
nourishing one another...
completely entwined...deeply rooted...
23 million years together wouldn't be enough.
Love you hon bun to infinity x 2 XXXXOOOO.

In Memory Of Missy

We've have such a sadness in our family right now,

my parents sweet little dog Missy suddenly passed a couple of weeks ago...

 

 

It doesn't feel right not to remember her in a blog post so I am sharing some photos I took of her years back...she'll be sorely missed.  Love you little fur sibling to the stars and back again XO
