Bell Play

So Teela & I have been playing with some bells.
(and because I am a nice neighbor I took every single chime out so they are completely noiseless!!!)

We arranged the white bells with some driftwood collected from the beach
and slices from an old tropical plant that had long since died & dried out.

However, I am in agreement with my Tee-Tee that whilst we like the new bells & swags,
we no longer like the painted fence boards so next year we're gonna paint that section plain white.

What do you think?
Sometimes a simple crafty project is just what a perfect autumn day calls for.

Crewel

Happy Monday all,  I hope your weekend was better then mine!
I was stuck in bed with a bad migraine pretty much all weekend and it really sucked.
I am hoping this week is a pain-free one.

Anyhow, onto some crafty stuff.
I found this crewel embroidery kit at a thrift store sometime last year.
I loved the design for it looks Hungarian folky to me...

Over the last few rainy days I worked away at it and then put it in this lovely frame.

One of my very dearest friends is from Hungry so I know it'll be a hug to my heart every time I see it,
cause it'll make me think of her and our soul warming friendship.
...I am quite content with how it turned out.

What are you all up to this week???
Is anyone in the path of the hurricane?  If so, well wishes are going your way.
We are only suppose to get strong winds and mixed flurries here, thank goodness.

Painted Bird Ceramic

Okay, so I finally admit it...
a secret love...
Painting ceramics!!!
I know they are typically abit 'cheesy'
and I always feel weird about painting something someone else made
But what can I say, it's a long-time love my mom turned me onto when I was a kid
and I recently indulged in this secret hobby to paint this...

...I think it took me about 8 or 9 hours straight but I think it was worth it.
I gave it to my mom.

See you soon and thanks oodles for hopping in for a look-see.
