Joanne

I love days like today...

where it's the perfect blend of art making & bunny snuggles

& all the other good stuff in between. Ah.

I finished off these little sweetie today.

Her name is "Joanne"

It is coloured pencil on a painted wooden canvas.

I don't dedicate my work to people very often but this one is

dedicated to a very special woman whom we lost this last week...

Jonathan's Aunt Joanne.

She was a lovely auntie to me, she was a 2nd mom to Jonathan. She was so many wonderful things.

She will be greatly and sorely missed, she was such an awesome woman.

It's late but I am off to my coloured pencils again for just a wee bit longer before bed.

Nubbins Now Available As Prints

Finally...Finally I am getting my dear sweet 'Nubbins' into my shop as prints.

I'd like to introduce the actual 'dolls' as well but that depends if I can get enough pieces cut and

prepped before the snow keeps me from the garage and my tools (it's already pretty cold out there!).

Up until now they've only been available for purchase directly from me, from local sales,

from local galleries or through my own studio.

Atleast for now they are coming out as prints...

Here are the first 3 available in print form...

Nubbins 'Ellie Ebben Gray', 'Avril May Aviva' and 'Lillie Fionn Lapradie' now available as prints.

Interested? Just hop on over to my Etsy shop to have a look-see.

Hope your weekend was wonderful.

Ours was very beautifully cozy as we were stuck inside all weekend due to rain and bad migraines.

XO A recovering Bijou & Her Beautiful Bunnies who are listening to Jesse Cook in the studio today

(We JUST saw him & his band in concert & they were amazing, a blog post on that coming soon).

Today, as promised I have a brand new illustration to show you. This is a coloured pencil, 9"x12" and is called "Bodhi the Elephant". It feels really good to get back to my style and just to do an image for love of the subject, I mean who doesn't love elephants, they are such incredible creatures and this image is meant to celebrate them. May the enjoyment I had making it be passed onto you. Have a wonderful day everyone and until tomorrow Happy Creating.

On another note, Wendy Baylis over at Dharma Designs Blog has written an article about me and my work over at my Etsy Shop, thanks so much Wendy.
