Sweet & Simple
I try to let the simple & sweet things in life tickle my heart pink as often as possible...
snuggles with Yuuji is a sure way to do so...
snuggles with Yuuji is a sure way to do so...
or enjoying pink vegan cookies with golden sprinkles made by your gorgeous vegan man...
or watching that sweet vegan man snuggle your sweetest heart is a sure fire route...
So so many small, sweet and simple things in a day to pick up a heart, soooo many.
What's some of your favorites??

Airabella In Progress
I started a new little character named "Airabella".
She owns her own empire from organic lavender fields (her success due largely to her bee friends)...
She's one of the last few characters I need to finish up for what I hope will be a self-published book.

Ah Winter
Ahhhh loonnggg Winter days are here and I love them soooo much....
I love Spring & summer & especially Fall but having buns outside in those seasons is very stressful.
Winter days means no distractions or chores outside
except for snow play & shoveling leaving more time for bun snugs.
More time to organize, clean & enjoy the house,
especially when we get to stay warm & cozy inside.
More time to fill the oil diffusers with favorite oils & just more time to take care of my sore body!
Ahhhh yes, just a few reasons why I love Winter...how about you?

My Breakfast Smoothie Go-To
So I mentioned in my last post that 2018 kicked my ass physically
and I will touch on that more in another post but my body really needs tender loving care
now more than ever so one of the best things I do for myself is to give up
my usual beloved morning soy latte and start my day off with a health smoothie instead!

now more than ever so one of the best things I do for myself is to give up
my usual beloved morning soy latte and start my day off with a health smoothie instead!
I have never been one for breakfast, I am often not even hungry until 3 or 4 in the afternoon!
But drinking this smoothie is easy
(as long as I don't take to long because the oats thicken it up quickly).

I've been asked about what I include, so here is my usual go-to concoction:
organic unsweetened soy, fresh fruit, preferably organic, parsley, cucumber, lettuce, spinach,
banana, raw oats, cocoa nibs (sometimes), peanut protein & chai seeds. If you give it a try, Enjoy!

2019 Here I Come
Hey you guys...
Are you a resolutions type of person?
How's the New Year looking for you?
I sure am BUT ya know this new year
I am not going to list them,
I am not going to list them,
my list is feeling hopeful but perhaps delicate as well,
so because of that I am going to, for now anyhow,
keep things close to my chest &
we can see things unfold as the year takes shape yes? YES!!
keep things close to my chest &
we can see things unfold as the year takes shape yes? YES!!
I can tell you that my plans do include art, art & more art and bunnies, bunnies and more bunnies &
ultimately just being kinder to myself because 2018
was a year that physically kicked my ass!
ultimately just being kinder to myself because 2018
was a year that physically kicked my ass!
I already have tons of new images prepped on the page
& in my head and I am super excited to get back to the studio
after a long two weeks of holiday rest.
I am ready to push myself as much as my body &
the bunnies allow me to!

I know one thing for sure right now though,
I won't let Instagram take me away from my blogging time anymore
I won't let Instagram take me away from my blogging time anymore
and 2019 will see me pushing away the drama & shit
and it will find me focusing and zoning in on my unique happy.
How about you?

A Star Gazing Crackle
So this past summer we found this pretty little Grackle in our backyard.
She was hiding underneath one of our cedars and was soaking wet, not moving much.
We left her for awhile, watching from a distance but when it was clear
that she wasn't getting better and night was fast approaching,
with cats and raccoons always scampering in the backyard at night we picked her up.
It was pretty clear that she wasn't okay, she couldn't keep her balance, fly or hold her head normally.
I put her against my chest and she just let her body be propped up by mine.
The only time she would struggle was when we tried to leave her alone,
when she was against my chest, she calmed down, stopped struggled & just looked around.
We think she had a neurological disease called 'Stargazing' that apparently some wild birds get
for no reason, where all they do is stare upwards, which is exactly all she wanted to do.
so we held her for hours on end, gently holding her head where she clearly wanted it.
We stayed outside with her so she could hear the crickets and feel the breeze.
But once the mosquitoes started pestering us and her, we went into the house.
And than around 2:30 in the morning, against my chest, she passed away, it was quick.
We felt love for this little soul in the few sad hours we spent with her.
We buried her in the front garden where the rest of her flock tends to hang out.
We buried her in the front garden where the rest of her flock tends to hang out.
I felt so honored to see her beauty up close and to feel her trust.
And here's the thing that struck me about this day....
that huge difference we'd see in the world if people just embrace other beings, no matter the species.
It's the simplest and easiest thing to do, to reach out with kindness,
especially to the most vulnerable and delicate.
We just have to learn to step outside of our owns needs a bit more,
to let go of our shit and get out of our own heads, if we can do that, extending a helping hand is easy.
to let go of our shit and get out of our own heads, if we can do that, extending a helping hand is easy.
Because the connection and beauty found in doing so is so bright and so very very rewarding.
Anyhow! RIP little beautiful Grackle XO

Gusta Cheese
So I know I have already highly suggested that you guys try the Gusta sausages,
well the Gusta cheese turns out to be good too, because well lets face it a lot of Vegan cheese sucks!
(I highly suggest trying out and supporting your city's local vegan artisanal cheese makers)
We find the Gusta Swiss is great on sliced as is, melted on pizza or on mac n' 'cheese'.
but beware of the original flavor, don't expect a cheese taste!,
it is tasty no doubt but it's no way shape or form tastes like cheese, it 100% tastes like meat.

Just Some Sumer Pics
This winter you'll be seeing a lot of posts from this past summer since I didn't blog much this season,
so that means I have to start posting them now, but I am sure none of you will mind.
With the loss of Betty-Loo early in the season we just found ourselves wanting to stay home a lot,
so it ended up being a very very bun-centric summer with loads getting done in the yard.
