Mentions & Thank Yous & Maybe Not So Far Away Dreams...

I've been working so hard for quite some time now and on such a limited budget to spread & show my work, art, vision and creations to as large an audience as I can reach...it's going so so slowly but I know this is often the way even for the luckiest/most talented.  I work so hard on my craft because not only do I want to be a successful artist with my work being sought after but also because being a successful artist means I can eventually fund the rabbit sanctuary I've long dreamed of...you know the brilliant giant beautiful place which would lovingly host bunnies rescued from testing labs or bad situations..and well honestly most days that dream feels so very very far away... BUT once in awhile, on what feels like very lucky days, I am talked about or mentioned or someone very kindly features my work or I sell a piece and all this leads to opening my audience just that much more and than my dreams and all the possibilities that go along with it once again shine in my heart with hope....

...Mentions such as these below are exactly what I mean:

I am honoured to have been so kindly mentioned on "The Quilting Garden" blog, her post so totally made my day, thanks Kris.

I was also nicely surprised when I received an email from an 'altruisic etsians boyfriend', saying he included one of my beautiful birds in his treasury...thanks so much fellow etsians boyfriend, ha ha...

That's my blue birdie 4th on the 3rd row down, yayyy little birdie, you caught someones eye...

And last but certainly not least, I was so so excited to have one of my Beautiful Birds featured alongside The Brave Girls Club Daily message...what a treat...

Thank you lovely people, thank you for opening up my dreams when they've been feeling abit jumbled...

It's an insanely huge world full of immense talent and having people mention and support my own little creative venture just means so so much...

A Day In My Life & Thanksgiving

Ahhh...my days very often consist of simple beauty like this...

...Bunnies, drinking orange juice and licking they sweet little lips, ha ha...

...Bunnies, dozing on their little wooden bed in the warm fall sunlight...

...sitting blissfully amid streaming jazz, planning one of my next projects...

...and than 4:00 hits which finds me hopping my little butt into the kitchen to whip up a yummy guilt-free 'chicken' pot-pie...(the rosemary puff pastry on this dish rocks)...

It is Thanksgiving today...Happy Thanksgiving...no chickens or other animals die in the making of our yearly celebration of thanks!...and boy oh boy I am feeling grateful...

See you Wednesday with a new work.

A Good Grateful Day...

Today I just feel grateful that I can stay inside our warm cozy rabbit warren (except for tonight when I must hop out for a quick meeting)...that I can work on my art all day...that I can stay out of the gloomy and blustery winds outside...Today I am grateful for embroidery rings recently found at a thrift store which are perfect for an upcoming project...

I am grateful for lovely shadows....and my lovely camera:D...

...I am grateful for my silly bobble head bunny that sits in my studio window and makes me smile inwardly...

...and I am grateful to have a fridge full of veggies that I can give to our furry babies...these are actually giant peas I grew myself...
...I am grateful and happy and just enjoying the simplicity of a good day...Hope you are as well.

It's Canada Day & I am still on holiday

Hi Everyone and a Happy Canada Day to you. I am still off today, I took Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday off...well if you can consider toiling away in the yard really time off, but we're having fun so I guess it would be, ha ha. This weekend, we did alot of cleaning, had a dear friend over for a lovely dinner and movies, planted 6 trees, tore down an old crooked deck and attacked the front garden and actually got it all finished and looking beautiful which took about 8 hours total!...to say that the weeds were prolific would be an understatement. Anyhow, the bunnies are outside and another weedy area is calling to me so I shall be going outside for the rest of the day.

On Friday we also picked up my dad from the airport and I was so so so glad to see him back home. He brought me some amazing gifts from my dear Grandpa which needless to say are now some of my most treasured possessions.

I just also wanted to send out a hugely felt thanks to everyone who visited my Saturday Tea Party and left all those wonderful comments. Vanessa over at 'A Fanciful Twist' did an amazing job with her party, she went all out, I was so amazed. I was also amazed at how much fun I had in creating my own little imaginary get together, I think I was walking around with a smile for 2 days. Anyhow, again thanks everyone...it was a lovely time.

I must send out a "Happy Birthday" to my sister-in-law Jennifer. And now I leave you with a tidbit photo from my studio...my sweet little lamb bronze sculpture that I love oh so much. Be Well Everyone and until tomorrow's post, which may be abit later in the evening than usual.
