The Art Of Living Fundraiser

I was asked to donate some work in support of The W.K.P Kennedy Gallery
North Bay's only public art gallery
for their Biggest Arts Gala of the season called "The Art of Living"
So I donated two prints of my most favorite lino-cuts

I went in yesterday to check out the preview and was so pleased at what I saw.

Such a variety going on...

There are quite a few artist-created Muskoka chairs...

There's quite a lot of original artwork...

The selection is pretty large and I am sure there will be something for every ones taste.

Super great birdhouses...

Paddles and furniture...

More Muskoka chairs (they are the main event after all)

It'll be a great evening with live music, food, drink, auctions, raffles.
Tickets are $150 for 1 artist-created chair plus all the evenings events, food & entertainment
or a $25 ticket gives you access to all the evenings events like raffles & auctions, food & fun.
It all goes down tonight, June 26th at 7pm at 150 Main Street East, North Bay for anyone near by!

BunnyFest

I am so happy.

It is a long standing and constant dream of mine to have my artwork help out animals.

When the House Rabbit Society in San Diego contacted me
and asked if I could donate some of my prints
to help them raise money for their 2013 BunnyFest,
I was so so pleased and said 'yes, of course...gladly'.

So I sent them these...

I hope they cause a bidding war and raise lots of money
for the new rabbit shelter they are trying to build.

Stuff like this is so very very good for my soul.

AOM "Release Your Inner Artist" Evening...

This post is mostly for my fellow AOMer's and anyone who is interested in seeing some of the photographs I took on the night of the "Release Your Inner Artist" auction, which was last Friday evening...it was a good night, deemed a success and involved and invited many local leaders the chance to be artists and to create unique one of a kind pieces. The dignitaries involved were; Nipissing MP Monique Smith, Mayor Vic Fedeli, Deputy Mayor Peter Chirico, Coun. Judy Koziol, CTS Canadian Career College President and CEO Carlos Carvalho, MP Anthony Rota, Canadore College President Barbara Taylor and Nipissing University President Lesley Lovette-Doust and even some of their family members.
I think a good time was had by all....
It was a great chance for Art On Main and it's artists to reach out to the community and not only give them a taste of our world and a glimpse into our creative process...
...but it was a great opportunity to open up the art world and show that it really can be an inviting and friendly place to dwell or visit from time to time!
I hope all are pleased with my photos from the evening and thanks to everyone from Art On Main Downtown Collective, you all worked so diligently and hard on this project for the rest of us who couldn't be involved. Thanks to the guest artists who had the courage to try something different. And Thanks to everyone else, including supportive spouses, etc who came on out in support. Be Well Everyone and thanks for popping by.
