Introducing Glass Pendants...

For any of you who have followed my blog for awhile now, you've probably seen these little lovelies in my photos of different sales/events I've done locally BUT NOW I am finally getting around to putting them into my Etsy Shop...This lino-cut bird of mine is still one of my favourites so I thought I'd show you all this design first.

...as you can see the backs of the glass pendants are sweet also with a fancy little dragonfly as the clip ring/bail, each is signed to show you they've all been handmade by me...and each shipped in a lovely organza bag often with special treats from me to you...

If your interested in purchasing one of these necklaces they are now in my shop for only $10.95u.s.d or you can email me directly & we can do a pay pal transaction, whatever is easier for you. I made about 10 of them and there are only 4 left, grab them whiles you can because at this point I am unsure if I'll be making more. I am listing only 1 at a time over at the shop, so click here or visit there for more info.

Cheerio lovely blog land peeps:D

Pink Jinny Necklace in the Shop

Just popping in quickly to let you all know that I've just listed this lovely Pink Jinny necklace in my Etsy Shop, handmade by moi with care and love.
Please do keep in mind that since my necklaces are handmade they are also one of a kind usually, as I don't too often seek out the exact same beads and repeat the exact same pattern...so if your looking for something with whimsy, good energies and something that's fun and well made, this might be for you.
We're off into another spectacular weekend, last week included a wonderful and sunny and blissfully full and relaxing 4 days off with my honey, a fun day of shopping in Sudbury and a viewing of the excellent and amazing Imax film 'Sea Monsters 3D', oh it was soooo thrilling. I hope this weekend brings good things again. Be Well and see you next week.

New Necklaces with Bodhi, The Elephant

I am quite confident that my illustration 'Bodhi, the Elephant' makes for a nice necklace, so I proceeded to make a few more with this picture and I am again happy with how they turned out. What do you all think? Here is one with lovely pink seashell beads...(again all glass, wood or shell beads...I can't stand using plastic ones).
(this one is sold)
But this one following is available here at my Etsy Shop.
I think it's quite nice as well. Grab your necklaces from my shop as soon as you can because I think that in August, those that haven't sold will be pulled from the shop roster and just sold by me from my studio, or through local shops, so you might not be able to get them!
I do plan a shop update soon with some lovely new prints, I think I've finally found a paper I am happy to print on, I'll give you all a heads up here as to when those will be added to the shop. Speaking of elephants, I found it serendipitous that today's planned post was to show you all the new Bodhi necklaces and than I came across this youtube video of two very unlikely and devoted friends, it is so sweet it makes me teary eyed, check it out.
Oh and one more thing...my best friend will be at Koma Designs tonight showing her carpets and new silk pillows, click here for the info and if your in the Toronto, ON area and are interested. Until another day, be well, be happy and good creating.

Forwards with New Necklaces

So how does one continue forward with 'light' and 'good' and 'pretty' topics on the back on something heavy and important like last week's posts about the seal hunt? ....I guess you just do and just plunge on forward... So, here are some new necklaces I made last week. The right hand one is sold and the left is being held for an upcoming sale/art show here in town, but I wanted to show them to you anyhow. I really love the one on the right and I was so pleased when a beloved friend bought it for another lovely friend...the circle of artists supporting artists is indeed alive and well. Be Well and Happy Creating. Until tomorrow where I have 2 new necklaces to show you.

Necklaces in the Shop

You can now officially buy the following necklaces from the shop...
Finally, I was able to take some good and flattering shots and I finally got this small batch into my Etsy shop.

I have to toot my own here and say that I truly think my necklaces are very well made, unique because of my colourful and whimiscal illustration and just really fun to wear. I am hoping that they sell quickly...so if your interested head on over to the shop to check them out and hopefully pick one out for yourself and/or a loved one.

Join me tomorrow for something new...and thanks for taking time out of your day to pop in.

Flying Fish Necklace

So over the holidays, I thought I would get alot of jewelry made, but I didn't because I ended up putting all my supplies away in an effort to make my studio spaces look abit neater during the holiday potential visits. I did however have a complete ball over the holiday sketching future Nubbins, I designed 18 new ones and I am over the moon excited about them. I am just hoping the universe and people embrace them as much as I love them! Then we would have a success I believe. But anyhow...you'll see the new nubbins slowly and soon over this next year...today I wanted to show you another necklace I made before the Holiday madness.

A pendant I made with my 'Flying Fish' illustration. This one is sold, but I will be making more of a very similar design very soon and when I do, I'll let you know when a batch of the pendants are going into the Etsy shop.

I haven't been into the Etsy shop for some time, but that's because I've been planning to re haul what's sold in there....this time round I am going to try necklaces and nubbins instead of originals and prints. Perhaps I'll introduce prints back in when I have more 'series' type of work because that seems to be what people are looking for and therefore buying. But I'll rant about this at another more opportune time!

Join me tomorrow where I'll share some of my 2009 plans with you. Be Well and Happy Creating.

A New Necklace with my Amaryllis Bird and Happiness

I am excited to show you a new product I've been working on lately...A necklace I made featuring my latest illustration of "Amaryllis Bird" mounted on a natural bamboo tile with glass beads, except for the red beads which are wooden. It wears very nicely, looks unique and bright and now that I've ironed out any kinks I am off to the races to make more of this one and of course with other illustrations and bead treasures of mine. I love making them and once I have alittle stock pile there will be a batch going up for sale in the shop, but I'll give you a heads up for that. I already have a couple stores that might sell them so that's exciting.

It's always so fun to see my imagery on a new product, espeacially when I've made that product all on my own and could pour love, hope, joy and good energies into them...

...and how could I not enjoy making anything when I look down to my right and see this gourgues little creature all stretched out by my studio chair...

...our little black pud...our shiny and squishy little cub...our clusty and goofy Hazel who rolls over when she's happy...our bunny and sweetie pie who cheers our heart and lives, ohhh love love love her... ...and our Jinny, who choose the window bench to be her prime spot for today. Our serious and gentle tookey...our caring and thoughtful and alway observant Jin...our bunny who has more fun in the snow than anyone....our fast as can be zippy sweetheart, we are so very glad we brought her home.... Also today, I was happy as pie to see Rudy make an appearance as we were cooking up our dinner. Jonathan made him a cool and snug as can be house and I think it's so cozy that he barely leaves it, ha ha...but we love thinking of him being just abit warmer in these chilly days. We rushed him his order of seeds and peanuts and just seeing his cute little self made my day perfect. Happiness really does lay where ever we choose to pluck it from....wheather it be from a newly made thing, created from our heart and made with pride, or happy rabbits...or squirrels...or a delicious pot of homemade lentil soup....or a nap with my honey, or a good workout whiles listening to a good audiobook, a long warm soak with coconut bubbles then cozy pajamas, or a good episode of The Office....My day was full of these happy things and more and I am currently feeling very blessed and happy and relaxed. I am letting go of my fear that too much happiness brings turmoil and bad luck! and I am just sending out this happy surge out to you all and into the void knowing that all is well and good....and happy. I won't be posting on Monday but please do pop in Tuesday. Until then Be Well and Happy. XXOO

Another Great Mail Day

Getting treats and letters in the mail is one of life's pleasures for me. Things arriving in my mailbox are like delicious little visits from beloved & missed friends. I remember when I was a teenager, my goodness I had so many pen pals, I would get a letter almost everyday of the week it seemed. But as I got older those pen pals dwindled off, as people got busier with their own lives the letters stopped coming. I never quite got over that, having lots of mail I mean, I still run to the mailbox everyday in hopes that there is a treat there awaiting me. So last Friday when I got Maria's sweet letter I was thrilled and I had the pleasure of being surprised and utterly thrilled again this Monday afternoon when I received a package with this adorable little critter inside. My sweet-as-can-be hubby bought me this necklace from "Motley Mutton & Gangly Goats", hand-made felt work by Nancy Bevins. I am so enchanted by her work and anxiously awaiting for her to make some more of her wonderful felt rabbits. Check out her shop on Etsy, her creations will surely bring a smile to your face, as my Jonathan always brings a smile to my face (as all your surprises, it's so sweet and wonderful, thanks baby). And Thanks for the speedy delivery Nancy, I love my sweet little possum.
