A Cozy Day

We had a rough week...
Henrie had to start antibiotics...Betty-Loo had to get scheduled for a big dental surgery next week
and than on Thursday night Leisel for no apparent reason got really sick which was a whole night up and than a whole Friday afternoon for me of cleaning up diarrhea from floors & rugs...
It's always so tough never knowing why Leisel's tummy does this now & than out of the blue.

So before we head into what will likely be a difficult week with Betty-Loo's surgery on Tuesday,
today we're relaxing & not worrying about how nice it is outside or anything on our to-do lists.
We are all set up for a cozy day...jazz is on, strawberries are plentiful, Moscato & espresso stocked...
we're resting up, hanging with each other & the bun-babies...what are you doing?

So Cozy

Routines are shifting.  This time of year we bring flowers from outside in to survive our cold nights...

We picked the last of the garden veg & we're spending more time inside with the buns...it's so cozy!

Pagoda Perfect

Even though it has largely felt like an 'off' season out in the part of the yard where the rabbits play
because we were out there without our Frenwyck and Teela and than Elsie...
There was still appreciation and gratitude for the beauty we've created & collected there.

Days with Jelly Bean were even more precious, time spent with my niece was special too.
And of course it was our newest shelter adoptee's Leisel & Misa's first summer with us too.
This is one of my favorite places, don't give me a trip to Hawaii, just give me my yard full of buns!

Serendipity (Don't ya just love that word)

I was seeking out a table...
I knew I wanted one for our living room.
I had fallen in love with a set at the furniture shop near by but I eventually had to give
into the fact that it was way too expensive and also way too big and tall
for our somewhat small and well used living room!
But I wasn't giving up, I knew I wanted a table in this specific spot
even though I knew it would likely not be used for dinners
but for other things like sorting, watercolour days and okay maybe quick lunches.

Than low and behold!
A few months back at the beginning of winter,
I was on my way somewhere and there sitting in the dark of the night,
gleaming all pretty and white was a whole dining set, a table and it's 4 chairs,
just tossed in a snow bank, forgotten and unloved, all wet and full of snow.
I eagerly knocked on the door of the house just to make extra sure it was free for the taking
and upon confirmation, I wrestled it all into the Jeep like a gleeful little bandit.
I knew it was just what I was looking for in that space.
I love it and I was right, it is well used and very handy
and we have even used it for dinner a couple times!
Don't ya just love it when things are serendipitous!
