Winter Sunsets

I was just complaining about winter and bam suddenly despite a snowstorm the other night Spring seems to have sprung...things are dripping, the crows are cawing & the chipmunks have woken up.

I want winter to be over for our wild hare Iris...I want it for the rabbits who are so so bored inside.

But I like the quiet winter brings, the lesser chores outside...the gorgeous finger chilling sunsets!

A Few Weeks Back

This was a few weeks back, before Betty-Loo died...

We were just out doing our usual ice melting Spring explorations.

 because sometimes, well most of the time, animals just make way more sense than people!

Every Spring it's the same but it's fun to look for small beautiful differences.

Lake Life

We are so lucky to live pretty close to this big beautiful lake...

it's only about a 10 minute walk away...

We go here a lot after work to decompress, for sunsets, for short breaks from the buns,

after, before & in between errands...

it always seems to beckon "Come sit and breathe for a spell.."

Our 2nd date was here, along this lake, a long leisurely stroll at night in thick heavy fog...

almost 25 year ago now...

we love it so, it's part of us. I tell my hon, when I die, he's to spread most of my ashes in this water!

It's a place that soothes, refreshes and amazes us with it's always changing beauty.

Part Of A Lake

We spend a lot of time exploring the big lake closest to our home, we grew up around/on this lake
(we now take our niece with us and I think I see her slowly falling under it's spell too).

With our four beautiful seasons and how it changes with each one, I don't think we'll ever tire of it!
(P.S. Can I just say that these are some of my very most favorite new photos).

Beloved Body Of Beautiful Water
