A Printmakers Companion
I have several linos all finished, just patiently waiting there in a pile waiting for me to pull test prints from them but I honestly just keeping finding myself moving on to the next one to cut.
I think it's because the area I have set up to do my cutting in is in Misa's main area & it just feels like such a sweet precious time, mornings cutting blocks with this sweetie that I just don't want to stop!

Getting Soft On Softoleum
I should be able to show you guys the finished prints of all of these guys starting next week...
The softoleum typically has a bad rap but I gotta say, I am getting used to it and my wrist likes it!!!

Cutting Here & There
I am not fully back into my studio yet...
for one reason you know, for another you'll know later.
but I have been dabbling with cutting lino, just in little tender-hearted bits here and there,
here's one in progress.

Loving Linos
I've been diving back into an old medium
I fell for way back in high school but haven't done in awhile...
I fell for way back in high school but haven't done in awhile...
linocut printmaking.
I am currently using Softoleum (pictured here) but it's a bit too rubbery for my liking,
so I am anxious to use it all up and trying out some good old vinyl flooring...
I am having breakfast next week with the beloved man who got me addicted to lino-cuts,
my friend who was also my high school art teacher. He is a printmaker master supreme himself,
I hang on his every word of advice when it comes to printmaking....and life.
I find myself waking up and instantly craving to get to my chisels & blocks...

I LOVE that feeling...it's a feeling and a high that deserves to be cherished & nurtured.

A Simple & Sweet Summer
This will be another short one as Blogger still isn't working for me
(another reason why I am so anxious to move this beloved blog of mine to my own new site)
Anyhow...
As you can see we've been outside with artwork and bunnies ALOT
Most sunny days, we're out in the yard by 10am
if I don't have a super sore head (like today's very awful bad one) to tend to
or if I don't have errands to run because getting the monkeys in on my own is never a sure thing!
Yuuji has been having a ball digging a new burrow (which we have to fill in at the end of each day)
I've been working on cute little lino-cuts...(Here I am redrawing a design)
It's been a simple summer so far. Bunnies outside. Art Outside. Yard & House Projects. Gardening.
I've been loving it and have been feeling really very blissed out.
I hope your having an awesome summer so far.
Until Wednesday...be well and thanks so much, as always, for hopping in.

Back At It
Wow, that blog break seemed to go by really quickly!
But that's okay, I am glad to be back at it.
Well we've been up to lots of good stuff... One of them being lino cuts.
But I'll tell you abit more about it all later because Blogger doesn't seem to want to work tonight!
