Wonderful Wonders

The wonders of outside continue to bask my heart in goodness...

...The wonderful birds...

(who once in awhile agree to pose oh so nicely)

...The wonderful antics of the critters...

(who can resist giving that sweet sweet face more peanuts!)

...The wonderous bugs...

(I had never seen this kind before & haven't since I took the shot!)

...The wonderful whiskers of a bunny sitting in the evening sun...

(check out the gorgeous-ness of those ears in the light...ahhhh)

(This is one of my all time favourite shots of our bun Jin)

Ahhhhh....Wonderful Wonders,

life is so full of such lovelies, if your open to seeing them...

...in the most ordinary of places, you can see the most extraordinary things...

Thanks oodles for hopping in for a visit.

Zuniga

Introducing another Goddess...(another from my recently past exhibition)

"Zuniga"

I know her name is abit strange and the way she named herself was abit strange, ha ha but there were 2 strong signs in two completely different places, both in one day...so who could ignore that...

Here she is in the making...

Well that's about it for this week....thanks for hopping in and hopefully we'll see you next week.

Owlette Obasi

Another Owlette wanted to make his debut here on this beloved blogling of mine...

His name is 'Obasi'...

He's the wise shaman type of character in the Owlette Series.

(The originals for the Owlettes are not currently for sale

BUT Prints are on their way to my Etsy Shop SOON).

Hope your all staying extra sweet and cozy today...

I think it's about to pour here very soon so I must hurry off to bring Ella Luna outside for a quick dig before it does, otherwise I'll have one miserable little bored bunny on my hands, ha ha.

XO Mandy & Our precious Ella Luna XO

p.s. I just found out that I won this beautiful creation from my fellow bunny lover and blogland friend, the talented Annette Tait.  I am so so excited & thrilled to have one of her pieces coming to live in our cozy rabbity warren.  And, thanks to the good old tradition of the artist's swap, I have another goodie coming from her as well...when they arrive and are settled I'll photograph and post.

Summer Nights...

In the evenings we walk to the beach just a few minutes from our cozy home and we watch the sunsets...

sometimes in the company of ducks, or runaway beach dogs who spritz us with water...

and often with ice creams in hand, ha ha...

I am completely in awe that I can capture & enjoy sights like this, just minutes from our house,
...it leaves me feeling spectacularly lucky.

Summer has been so so lovely so far...

The rabbits are getting tons of time outside and all are doing wonderfully...

Jon and I are getting little odd and end projects done for the house which is always satisfying....

Yoga is being done...bikes are being ridden...

Life feels lovely...

Hope summer is treating you well so far too.

The June newsletter is available right here for those interested.

Summer In Good Company

I've been spending many of these past recent weeks dealing with many

migraines and headaches unfortunately.

BUT

Also I am spending my time outside with...

Baby red squirrels...

With gentle grey squirrels...

With 100's of bumblebees who are floating about several of our white pointilla trees & rose bushes...

I am in the company of giant black birds...

Who luckily can't steal our rabbits but who I do on occasion see stealing

a new born bird from the smaller black birds nests.

(This has got to be one of my most favourite recent photographs...I love my zoom lens).

And of course I am spending my summer days outside with our 4 bunnies....

If anyone has spent a day watching their bunnies frolic and graze and nap out of doors,

they'll understand just how calming and lovely and fulfilling it is.

(that's our Jinster in that last shot)

I suppose I don't get half as much work done in the summer, ha ha....

I am too busy playing with bunnies

and keeping company with all these other fine folks....

Which I guess is why it's good thing that I live in a land which is frozen and

snow covered for half the year, ha ha...otherwise my studio may grow quite lonely.

Hope your enjoying your summer days.

"Morning Glory" in Watercolour A NEW YouTube Painting

Hi Everyone,

Hopping in today to let you know that we've uploaded a

spanking brand new YouTube painting demonstration...

It is a watercolour version of 'Morning Glory' painted out in the garden.

Hope you have time to take a look.
& Enjoy

XO Mandy & her bunnies who have a wild hare living in the front yard....
He's SO Beautiful & I find it very hard to not want to bring him into the safety of our home...
But I know I can't.

P.S. WOW This Blog Post is my 600th Post....holy smokes!

The Conversation

Another little tiled piece.  This one is called....

"The Conversation Between Leeson & Thibeault"

...Are they gossiping...

...are they complaining....

...are they being kind and giving each other words of encouragement...

well I guess we'll never quite know...

What would 2 feathered friends be likely to chat about???

(I personally think they are of the gossipy variety, ha ha)

This one is another mixed media on a wood block with a row of tiles.

(I can't believe I messed up the order of the tiles!)

My dad made me some frames for my exhibition and I just adore them so much,

they add so much finish and punch to the pictures.

Have a lovely iced-tea & bird-song filled day....
