Setting Up With Flynn
It's been a long month plus healing Flynn up from his nasty ear infection,
he's still on antibiotics and will be for at least another 3 weeks before going back to the doctors...
This week is a better week though, last week a bit rough with his eating not being great
but this week he's feeling peppy & hungry so it's nice to have him with me as I set up his deck.

Rainy Day Box Forts
Our buns are pretty spoiled with going outside so they find winters long & rainy days hard...
We combat that with box forts in various rooms and blanket forts (see my Instagram today).

Bird Happy
Some days all I want to do is sit in my front window and watch the birds!
I am learning to embrace instead of fight whatever little thing brings me calmness & peace...
I am learning to embrace instead of fight whatever little thing brings me calmness & peace...
I've taken to photographing them through the picture window and can't wait to sit out in the garden
in stealthy silence with our camera, so in other words, prepare for lots of bird pics to come!

I am Back!
Hey guys, sorry for that really long unplanned absence.
I am back and my goodness I've missed this blog of mine!
I was away for a few reasons but the main one was just simply that
life has been kicking my ass lately!
Long story short,
my migraine life got really bad and at the same time I took part in the Migraine Summit
which was pretty overwhelming for me as I don't think I've ever fully accepted how much
my life as a migraineur affects me, so for lack of better words,
I kinda went into a mourning for lost dreams (more on that later on).
Than I let all kinds of stress from all kinds of directions hit me and pile up
and my body got pretty darn sick let me tell you...I ended up in the hospital on two occasions
and just a couple weeks ago was experiencing a very scary heart issue...all due to stress.
Another big point of stress for me has been being a vegan in a very cruel uncaring non-vegan world
(more on that later too for that's a pretty big issue!).
I have also been diagnosed with a new thing that I am not quite ready to chat about yet
as I am still accepting it and processing it...it's nothing horrible, just something I'll have to deal with.
Than our Flynn got very sick for about a month & we thought we would lose him.
And this happened not even a month after we lost our Henrie to a heart attack.
And in between all of that my sweet sweet man has been having problems with his ears
and we've been dealing with long sleepless nights on the floors etc with stasis and gas
in mostly Leisel and Misa, who are prone to these problems...
Life with so many rescues is always rewarding but hardly ever very easy.
But I am feeling Spring full now...I am soaking in the birdsong...
looking forward to a new season with hopefully very little drama and losses
and a new season with a much stronger grip on how I let stress rattle me!
So start visiting me here again okay...I am back...and I have so much to share XOXO

Red Star Delight
Well we've been having a heck of a time with me and with the buns, especially Flynn.
More on that soon but for now I needed to share my newest piece with you all
(Flynn was indeed the model for this one so I thought it was fitting given all we're going through).
"Red Star Delight"
You'll find prints in my shop.
The original is not available at the moment.
I am hoping to get it on t-shirts etc but I am still looking for a place I am comfortable working with.
I am really really happy with how this one turned out
and Flynn made a most spectacular model if I may say so myself!

Last Years Book Pile
So it was a pretty good reading year in 2018 (26 books read).
These 3 I L-O-V-E-D (All Alice Hoffman's so of course!)
The following books I thought were really great...
The next are ones that were good but they are just shy of being 'great' in my opinion...
These next ones I unfortunately have to give a 'just okay' stamp, I just couldn't get into them...
and unfortunately these ones I can't recommend at all because well, I really didn't like them at all...
I hope this helps you find some good reads this new year...I will always recommend Alice Hoffman!
If you have read some of them let me know...nothing is like a good delicious book XO.
