We face another surgery, a 4th resection next week, bear with me in my blog absences!

Jaks In Ink

Back around Christmas time I started a ink drawing of Jaks...

I think it was shortly after he passed, I missed his sweet face so it just felt like a good thing to do.

I usually do portraits for other people but not myself so I've been enjoying drawing our own family.

I'll show you how this one turned out soon.

Red Star Delight

Well we've been having a heck of a time with me and with the buns, especially Flynn.

More on that soon but for now I needed to share my newest piece with you all

(Flynn was indeed the model for this one so I thought it was fitting given all we're going through).

I am really really happy with how this one turned out

and Flynn made a most spectacular model if I may say so myself!

Leisel In Lines

Here is the portrait of Leisel a little further along...sometimes these portraits move along slowly.

Ink pens are the perfect thing to use cause I can kind of curl up with them & work still when in pain.

Flynn In Lino

I can't get enough of linos lately, I carve pretty much every morning.

Those who know my little family know right away that Flynn was my model for this one.

Henrie's Ink Portrait

As many rabbits as I usually draw,

I don't actually draw my buns all that often, not their portraits anyhow

Well I've been craving to draw them more so here is how Henrie's ink portrait turned out.

I will be adding a portraiture page to my new website & I am excited about that.

Teela's Portrait

I did a portrait in Polychromos of one of my soulmates, my beloved departed Teela.
It took me awhile as I just kept getting so emotional whenever I worked on it,
her getting so sick so suddenly, us doing everything we could but not being able to save her,
never really knowing what happened to her because I just couldn't agree to an autopsy,
her dying at such a young age, her leaving her bonded mate Yuuji behind...

hers is a loss that I carry with me every day that's all I can say.
But that's all sad stuff...this picture is about her beautiful amazing spirit.
She was just pure sunshine to me...in fact I sang her that song every day at bedtime!
I knew upon minutes after adopting her that loosing her would be impossible for me, I just knew.
She was our very first shelter adoption &
she helped pave the road for so many others to come after her.
She was magic.  She was my best friend.  She was my baby girl.  She was my heart.
This ones's for her.
  I might release limited edition prints but I am not sure yet, I'll let you know.

Henrie's Line Portrait

Back in the summer I started this ink drawing of Henrie and I totally forgot to show you!

I just recently put the finishing touches on it...I'll show you soon.

Hey guys, sorry to be absent again, I've been sooooo sick

Soul Mates

I finally finished this piece, which was really a journey of healing for me.

It's of my departed bestie, sunshine, honeybee & favorite girl Teela & our sweet sweet Yuuji.

I am titling it

"Soul Mates"

The original is for me and me alone.  It's going on my side of the bed.

I will let you all know when/if prints of it hit my shop...
I am currently setting up a new shop so you might (soonish) be able to get it on bags, mousepads etc.

I hope you love it as much as I do.

Sweet Tee

The picture I am doing for myself to keep of my beautiful late Teela is coming along nicely...

I think I'll be able to get this one & the watercolor version done this week which is exciting.

My image of my beloved late Teela is coming along nicely...I am really happy with it so far.

This piece is just for me...she's gone but is still with me in every minute of every single day.

My sweet vegan guy and I have been working so hard on my new website...

This pink leaping bunny was supposed to go on t-shirts BUT for now it's my new site header

and I adore it so so much, I feel like it just brings my website to  a whole new beautiful fresh level...

Cup Of Sweet Framed Up

A happy customer recently sent me this photo (thanks SO much Jackie),

I absolutely LOVE how she had my image framed up for her tea room.

Doesn't it look so fabulous, espeacially with the 3 matts, I just love it.

You can have a similar look too cause my "Cup Of Sweet" image is in the shop waiting for you.

Just 1 More For A Bit I Think

I am going to finish this rabbit inkling up & than I'll get back to some colour work for a bit, I think.

It's been a nice long 'break' working with black & white and I'll no doubt come back around to it...

 

 

but for awhile now I've had this buzzing happening in my body...

It's a buzz that's fluttering around constantly wanting some paper doll, watercolours & stitchery play!



Starry Starry Night

It's a starry starry night...

with a rabbit of course.

I have to see if I can get this image on a starker whiter background...I am not crazy about the cream.
