Filling In Lines With Misa

I have to use a chemical transfer to get my images from the paper to my linoleum

and I do have to do so because of how very detailed my designs are...

Sometimes it works really well, sometimes only parts transfer or they do but very faintly.

But I don't mind when I have to fill bits in because I grab a stack of linos in the pipeline,

I grab my Sharpie, a snack and I sit with my girl Misa downstairs and we re-line everything.

If life is about being in your happy place as much as possible, this is certainly one of them.

Setting Up With Flynn

It's been a long month plus healing Flynn up from his nasty ear infection,

he's still on antibiotics and will be for at least another 3 weeks before going back to the doctors...

This week is a better week though, last week a bit rough with his eating not being great

but this week he's feeling peppy & hungry so it's nice to have him with me as I set up his deck.

Big Books Small Bunny

Is it the big bookshelf's and picture books that make our Higgins look extra small...

or is he so small he makes everything else look bigger, ha ha, either way here he is in a favorite spot.

Pretty In Pink

I walk into my downstairs studio & this cuteness emerges from my fuzzy pink pillows...

OH MY GOODNESS....she makes my heart sing....I can't even...she is everything...everything!

Betty-Loo & Henrie Sitting In A Tree...

We've been trying to bond Misa & Henrie for a year now

and Henrie at first liked Misa & she loved him and Elsie

BUT Elsie for whatever reason decided that she didn't like poor Misa

& it seems that once Elsie said no, Henrie followed suit &

he was always quite mean to the poor little girl, espeacially after Elsie died

(which I just never got because Misa is just too adorable and perfect!)

BUT when Betty-Loo came home she was put into a large section of Henri's room

and we were hoping because he did look lonely, but we know better by now than to expect anything!

But right from the start they liked each other, they didn't fight once, not one single time!

They would smoosh up together, against the gate separating them...

So, we went for our usual first time bonding drive in the Jeep about a month ago,

no fighting still at all, they just sought each other for company & kissed right away...

We put them in the landing, no fighting, just more kisses & snuggles...

so we let them into the living room, good as gold once again...

So we increased the size of the area more & more & they just kissed & hugged & played together

so we brought them down to Henries room, expecting a bit of a tussle down there but nope

thick as thieves and totally smitten with each other.  It's amazing to see after Henries been so alone

and after knowing that Betty-Loo had a hard time at the shelter & lost her own sibling too.

We unfortunately have to still separate them over night because her teeth are still so bad,

it takes her all night to get any of her veggies in and

Henrie is well, a piggie, for lack of a better word, ha ha.

But every morning we lift her out of her area and into Henries and they run together like

they've been apart forever and they do a lap or two side by side around the room...

it's perfection & utter sweetness

and I know if Elsie is looking down she'll approve of this new union.

Betty Loves The Outdoors

We're still getting to know Betty...building trust with her is a bit trickier than normal

because we're dealing with her wonky teeth which I am fearing will always be wonky.

But one thing I do know about her already is that she's very very smart...that she loves it outside

& that she's a pro at stairs & has already learnt the way to the back deck all the way from downstairs!

It Was A Good Summer

Everything has been put away, wrapped up and covered for another long winter...

I've been looking forward to winter for awhile now so I have no complaints really.

My heart still hurts that Teela wasn't with us, I think it always will....But my life and our yard,
doesn't so much belong to us but to the bunnies and I know for sure that they had a great summer.

Simple Sketching With Jelly

Some of my happiest days this summer and this Fall were/are just quiet ones...

 ...spent outside with my Jelly & some sketching, his tenacity inspires me so much.

Worth The Work

It was a pretty wet season with horrible mosquitoes early on.

Now our nights are getting too cold and the flowers are dying out but I love the cooler weather

So we've all been outside more now that the mosquitoes are gone. Flynn had a nice long season enjoying his newly refinished deck, he's one spoiled bun, a deck all to himself, he loves it!

Weaving Again

I put my weaving away for quite awhile, just when I was getting into it...I haven't told anyone why...

It was because I was working on this outside with Teela the week she suddenly got sick and passed....

I haven't been able to look at it since really...

the same way, I haven't been enjoying the yard like normal.

 

But, I figured it was getting time to break out all the weaving stuff again and try again...

every though it makes my heart so heavy...I've been in a fog since I've lost my best friend...

I am trying to emerge from it, I just don't think time will heal this one for me but I am trying...

So I started to teach myself again, I started enjoying the yard again
& Leisel, our awesome & newest shelter adoptee is helping me with that for sure.

Grass For Flynn

Flynn has his very own deck that he doesn't have to share with any-bun right now

He likes getting out into the yard but he'd rather zoom around the house & hang out on his deck

but that doesn't mean he doesn't love the taste and smell of fresh grass,

So we planted some grass in a low round container just for him out on his deck & he LOVES it.

This Is My Life

This is my life...one of the biggest and most important parts of it anyhow...

My arms & heart & soul and body were made for holding & caring for there precious furry hearts.

Her Royal Cuteness

Miss Misa just wanted to hop in with her royal cuteness...

I lost half my heart when Teela left but I feel like I found another part with Misa XO.

Miss Misa's Vantage Point

I like to make things as visually pleasing for us AND for the bunnies we make our family with.

I tend to put artwork where they can enjoy it as much as we do, I hang as low as possible usually.

and I find that I am especially extra keen on making Miss Misa's space visually pleasing.

She loves mirrors (if I were half as cute as she was I would too, ha ha!)

She loves to flip on her back, so I am glad her ceiling is painted with clouds & ladybugs

and she's always going up on her hind-legs to look around so I am pretty sure she sees all the pictures.
