It Was A Good Summer

It was a good summer...

Everyday I felt glad that we had a yard for us & the buns.

Two Fuzzy Heads Then Three

A gorgeous robin found the perfect spot for a nest right on top of our vine trellis in the front garden.

I thought there were 2 but today I saw a 3rd head pop up.  I am utterly amazed by her & her babies.  

Strawberry Sweet

Just a day back in the summer when we went strawberry picking.

What's your favorite thing about picking your own strawberries???

I love the drive with my sweet honey, the tractor ride out to the fields and

finishing off a whole basket together on the ride back home to the buns.

Melting

It's been to hot to even turn on my computer!...Are you melting too?

This summer has been too damn hot!  But I guess at least we have a lovely space to melt in!!!

Enchanted

We get doves in our front yard every year.  They just lay on the ground and nap, eat, coo...
some of beautiful soft greys and others are delicate peachy shades.

They amaze and enchant me and fill me with peace...
I hope I never stop taking time to bask in their beauty!

Ribbon & Rain

Two of my friends have a vegan farm/sanctuary & these little beauties were the two newest intakes...

how anyone could discard of such precious souls so heartlessly is beyond me

but they've found beautiful sanctuary now at The Piebird Farm Sanctuary & I am honored

to be part of their lives and to be one of the lucky ones watching over them as they grow.

A Tad Sporadic!

Hey ya guys...sorry I don't mean to be blogging so sporadically but I am going to give

myself a pass since in about 10 years of blogging it's really the first time I've ever done so!

I am not going to give any excuses because I have none other than I am spending oodles of time with the precious awesome buns, my hon, tending to my body & forging new lovely art & friendships XO

Biking & Learning To Trust

This was one of my favorite days from this past summer...

It was a great bike path in a bird sanctuary North from us that went through such a varied terrain.

I was so proud of myself, it was the first time I had biked since my knee injury, let alone on such a challenging rocky hilly path....wohoo for letting go of fear and learning to trust my body again!

Jeep Siestas

One of my favorite things ever to do is to hop in the Jeep with my hon bun...

 

 

We find a spot where we can park really close to the water, we bring pillows and blankets...

 

we cuddle up & take a siesta as the rain pelts down on the Jeep roof (and sometimes on our feet)...

 

And after the storm we quietly breathe in the freshly washed summer air....ahhhh....loveliness.
