A Whimsical 6

My hon bun asked if I could paint us a new house number...

 

 

So as a bird and 8 buns napped away in the heatwave around me...

 

I came up with this...

 

It sits whimsically on the brown brick of our house hinting, I hope, at the magic that lies within.



Snippets of Sketching

I've been thinking about how artists work with different ailments

& for me when migraines hit, sketching is the perfect thing for me to do.

I can do it curled up in bed, stretched out on the couch or in short snippets at the living room table...

 

 

Or whiles I keep sweet company with the buns on the floor...this recent batch is all about bunnies,

I am so excited about them (I am literally toting them around the house with me!)

but am completely stuck on what medium to tackle them in!  I am sure you'll see them soon though.

All About Bunnies

It's been about basking in sunsets before rushing back home to the babes...

 

 

It's been about evenings with no time for anything but bunny bonding.

Teela & Fren were 100% bonded some time ago and Yuuji is behaving 99% , we're almost there!

 

It's been about preparing yummies for the bunnies whale sized tummies, like dehydrated carrot tops...

 

It's been about homemade healthful Vegan loveliness inspired by a love for bunnies... 

 

 

Bunnies...bunnies...bunnies...

life is very rabbit-centric indeed but we wouldn't have it any other way!

Leaping Lagomorphs

After a nice Thai lunch with my mom yesterday afternoon, I finished up this inkling at my folks...

 

 

Another leaping lagomorph, isn't she just so sweet? Prints will be in the shop later on this week.

Can You Blame Me!!!

This is me...with ink pens & sketchbook in hand and a little hottot spot for company.
Flynn is one of the best rabbits to be around,
he's so hilarious & happy & bonkers and the more you laugh the sillier he gets.

 

 

...really! can ya blame me for drawing rabbits all the time!

Makes perfect sense to me, rabbits make up a large portion of my social circle, ha ha.

Buns & Blubs

The sun is shining and whiles, yes, my head is pounding...

when I wake up to most of my days starting off with this...

with bunnies begging for blueberries...

 

 

Well, it really does kind of snap things into perspective pretty quickly, ha ha.

It really does make it impossibly hard to NOT find the joy and sweetness in a day.

I truly do have rabbits to thank for my joyful heart & happy outlook on life.  Thanks Babies XO.

The First Rabbit Inkling of the year

A new ink drawing...
Isn't he just a darling?  The detailing on this one took quite some time.
I am sure you knew the first drawing of the year would have to be a rabbit, ha ha!

 

 

I've been diving into my ink pen work almost as soon as I wake up these last couple weeks
and I have admittedly been drawing rabbits almost exclusively!
